THE OPPORTUNITY
It Started With a Location
Café La Mirajh began with an opportunity to build a rooftop destination in Anna Nagar. Click 8 came in at the early stage, helping secure the location and shape the business around its potential.
The opportunity:
Build a distinctive rooftop café in Chennai
Create a destination beyond conventional café visits
Bring food, coffee, gaming and entertainment together
Build a brand with long-term growth potential
THE CHALLENGE
Making the Space Mean Something
A great location creates opportunity, but it doesn't create a brand. Café La Mirajh needed a clear proposition that could bring its different experiences together and give people a reason to choose the space, remember it and return.
The key challenges:
Establish a distinct position in Chennai's café market
Define the right audience and customer occasions
Balance premium ambience with accessibility
Turn multiple features into one cohesive experience
Build the foundations required for launch and growth
THE SOLUTION
One Brand. Multiple Reasons to Visit.
Coffee. Community. Convo.
We shaped Café La Mirajh around premium comfort, community and rooftop living.
The idea was simple:
Coffee for the everyday ritual.
Community for the people and experiences.
Convo for the connections created around the space.
This became the foundation for the brand's positioning, identity and experience—bringing the rooftop, food, gaming, events and social atmosphere together as one cohesive proposition.
The visual identity followed the same thinking, combining deep blue, warm beige, rich brown and gold with a warm, sophisticated nighttime aesthetic.
THE CLICK 8 APPROACH
We Built the Business Around the Experience
Click 8's involvement went far beyond developing the outward-facing brand.
We worked from the inside out, starting with the opportunity, understanding the business potential, and then connecting the decisions required to bring that potential to life.
We started with the location.
Before there was a brand to market, there was a space to evaluate.
The Anna Nagar location became the starting point for understanding the audience, the kind of experience the rooftop could offer and the role the café could play within the local lifestyle ecosystem.
We shaped the business around the space.
Instead of treating the café as a food-and-beverage outlet alone, we looked at the different occasions the space could own.
A coffee meeting.
An evening with friends.
A date.
A gaming session.
A movie night.
A match screening.
A private event.
A place to work.
This thinking helped turn the rooftop from a physical feature into a business proposition.
We built the brand around that proposition.
The identity was created to reflect the experience we wanted customers to associate with the café.
Warm beige created comfort.
Deep blue introduced the nighttime character.
Brown connected the identity to coffee.
Gold added refinement.
The logo brought together the coffee cup and crescent-inspired form to connect the café with its rooftop evenings.
The brand was then carried into the physical environment, creating consistency between what customers saw online and what they experienced inside the café.

We thought about the customer before the campaign.
Rather than starting with content ideas, we started with why someone would come.
Different audiences had different motivations, young professionals looking to unwind, couples looking for an evening space, students, gamers, café-hoppers, groups and people looking for events or entertainment.
That gave us multiple customer stories to build around without losing the core identity.
We built the team around the experience.
The customer experience could only be as strong as the people delivering it.
Click 8 therefore worked into the HR and recruitment side of the business, helping with the people requirements needed to operate the café and support the intended experience.
The experience communicated externally had to be supported internally.
Business consulting and operational involvement helped connect the brand proposition with the practical requirements of running the space, serving customers and executing experiences.
Then we took the brand to market.
Once the foundation was in place, marketing became the vehicle for making the experience visible.
We developed the visual content around the things that made Café La Mirajh worth discovering:
The rooftop.
The ambience.
The food and beverages.
Gaming.
Events.
People.
Photography and videography gave the brand the visual assets to tell those stories consistently.

Digital marketing and performance marketing then connected those stories with relevant audiences and customer acquisition opportunities.
And we built around repeat occasions.
The thinking didn't stop at getting someone through the door once.
The business had multiple experiences that could bring the same customer back for different reasons.
A customer could discover the rooftop, return for dinner, come back with friends for gaming, attend an event or simply return for coffee and conversation.
That created a broader foundation for customer retention and long-term brand growth.
Every decision was connected.
Location → Business → Brand → Experience → People → Operations → Content → Marketing → Customer
That interconnected thinking became the Click 8 approach to Café La Mirajh.
EXECUTION & OUTCOME
Bringing the Vision to Life
The strategy translated into a complete brand and business ecosystem.
The identity established a distinctive visual world across the brand and interiors, while content captured the atmosphere and experiences that made the space different.
Marketing and performance campaigns brought the brand into the market, supported by photography and videography built around real customer occasions.
Behind the experience, HR, recruitment and operational support helped build the foundations required to deliver it.
The outcome:
A clearly positioned rooftop hospitality brand
A distinctive and consistent visual identity
A defined customer experience
A multi-layered marketing ecosystem
A people and operational foundation
Multiple customer occasions built into the proposition
Café La Mirajh's long-term vision is to grow from its first rooftop into a recognised lifestyle destination and eventually expand beyond a single location.
